HANS S. PETERSON was born in Utah, and was raised in California, Colorado and New York. He graduated with honors from Brigham Young University, conducting some of his studies in Israel as part of a cultural exchange program. He earned his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, during which time he served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable James F. Queenan, U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge. Hans focuses his practice on commercial financing, commercial real estate, commercial leasing, business formation, and non-profit organizations. He has been recognized for several years as an “up and coming” real estate lawyer by Chambers USA. He serves on the board of several non-profit corporations including Treats Falls House (Past Board Chair), Harbor Family Services (Current Board Chair), and Challenger Learning Center of Maine (Executive Committee). He regularly acts as a guest lecturer on business organizations for Women, Work & Community’s “New Ventures” program and the Incubator without Walls “New Entrepreneurs” program. He has been a featured guest on WVOM’s radio show “Back to Business with Deb Neuman” in segments regarding business startups and business organizations. In his free time, Hans enjoys hiking and biking with his family during the warmer months and skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.
