ROBERT S. LINGLEY was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts, and grew up in Weymouth, Massachusetts, and Cranston, Rhode Island. He is a graduate of Bowdoin College and Boston University Law School. Prior to entering the practice of law, he served two years in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. He was in private practice in Dover-Foxcroft and Bangor, Maine for 32 years before joining Rudman & Winchell.
Robert was a founding member of the Charlotte White Center in Dover-Foxcroft, and was its initial President. He has served on the boards of the Community Health and Counseling Center and the Salvation Army, and has served as Chairman of the Dover-Foxcroft Planning Board and member of the Bangor Planning Board, and as President and member of the Advisory Board of the Maine Center for the Arts.
